 May 2, 2008, Olympic Torch relay initiates its journey in China - Hong Kong. Hong Kong Atlanta (1996) gold medal winner Li Lai Shan starts the relay. Last time Hong Kong welcomed the Olympic Torch was 44 years ago (1964), when Tokyo hosted the Olympics.

Nov 11, 2007, Batman welcomed on his first journey to Hong Kong
On Friday (Nov 9) "The Dark Knight" arrived in Hong Kong for a four-day filming. Actors and film crew also took on a C-130 Hercules transport plane and a couple of helicopters earlier this week to shoot scenes set against the backdrop of Hong Kong's iconic skyline and the Victoria Harbor. In Wanchai where the Batman crew had dinner, were full of Batman fans longing to see the hero.

Aug 12, 2007, Hong Kong Equestrian Olympic - Dressage Contest Held Under Rain
Hong Kong's preparations to host the 2008 Olympic equestrian events have received a resounding thumbs-up after the first day of the Good Luck Beijing-HKSAR 10th Anniversary Cup in Sha Tin.
The second day dressage contest at Beas River unfortunately attracted only some 450 audience due to heavy rain.

Aug 10, 2007, Pre-Olympic Equestrian Contest to take place in Hong Kong August 11-13
In preparation for the 2008 Olympics Equestrian Events, Hong Kong holds a pilot contest in August. A total of 17 horses from eight countries will join the three-day contest, with 20 local horses.
The contest, namely Good Luck Beijing - HKSAR 10th Anniversary Cup is to be held in Sha Tin and at Beas River in Sheung Shui.
